Have never operated a tractor. In process of getting my first one.
I recently got one of those spin on tube type grease gun kits from lock n lube. Anybody know where you get just the spin on grease tubes by themselves? I have checked Amazon and the other usual suspects and tried google searching but nothing coming up. Thought these were getting fairly common now a days but I am having no luck finding them.

I’ve never heard of this type of gun. Had to look it up and see what it was. Interesting concept that doesn’t seem to have caught on yet.

Is the only grease I found. Not very convenient and very limited choices it seems.

I wouldn’t mind getting one if it eliminates the constant drippy mess that my guns make. Until I see these tubes at tsc or Napa, I’ll just keep what I have.

Looks like I had it all wrong. The video below says you can just use any standard grease tube. There is just a round insert "follower" you put in the bottom of the tube. Video explains it better.

The plot thickens. I went to the lock n lube website, clicked on the unit I bought, and in the text it says it ONLY works with the threaded grease tubes. However, the video I posted above said it will work with standard grease tubes. I give up.

Does the plot thicken as the grease thickens? Sorry for the lame joke.

It’s called a Lube Shuttle. Lock N Lube sells them but they are a bit pricey.

The spin on model is different from the one in the video.

I think the lack of adoption by grease makers is becoming the death of the spin on style.

The Easy Prime grease gun takes standard grease tubes bought anywhere. (see video above).
I don't have one yet, but would buy one if in the market. Lock N Lube company is great. I've been very pleased with my experience with them.

Thanks for the clarification D. I didn't realize it was a different model, thought it was just a different color. I have the version that requires the special tubes. Might send it back to get the version that will take the standard grease tubes.

Use a grease that doesn't separate and it won't make a mess. My guns hang on the walls and set on top of toolbox.
