I sure don't have much to loose by having a plain key cut and then holding the security key under the dash to see if the plain key will start it. I saw some bypass units on the internet, but have no clue if they work or not.
Call a locksmith, if they say they cant do it then ask if they know of who would be a good person to call. I order a keyfob off of ebay and had it programed this way. This was way cheaper than the dealer. You might have to call every locksmith in the book, but eventually youll talk to the right person and they will hook you up with the guy that has the right programing equipment to do it.
