I purchased a new hydraulic cylinder. The ends are 1" ID. My machine takes .75" ID. Is there something easy and over the counter that I can slip in to take up this gap, or do I have to go get something machined.

Thanks

Carl

Hello
You probably don't want to use a 1 to 3/4 NPT bushing in a hyd system.
The external and internal threads create a thin cross section and they will crack in the threads.
You need at least 2 size difference to use a bushing safely. Even better is find the adapter you need from 1" to your hose.

He is talking about the pin end-or clevis ends, not the hydraulic ports.

Your local tractor/ag store should have the appropriate bushings. I have always been able to get them there.

I hope you get your chance at seat time during tulip time.

Isn't that the same size bushing that reduces Cat 1 to Cat 0 pins?
This is also a common reducing bushing for trailer hitch ball shafts. TSC, Ace Hardware, etc.

Thanks guys!

Yeah, seat time. Got into a fight with the wife. Was shortsighted an pulled a temper tantrum and told her we were not going home afterall. Grumble...... Now either I have to kiss and make up, and even though she is way wrong tell her I am wrong and we can go, or suffer and not get any seat time.

For my own edification, brass would be too soft in a hydraulic end link spacer setting, wouldn't it?
