They are both excellent machines. I don't think the Honda would be good for the wife. Unless they changed from last year, you have to muscle the machine to turn it......it's not easy.

The Ariens has a steerable track system where you control the movement of the tracks with triggers on the handles. Pull the right trigger and turn right....pull the left trigger and turn left. Your wife will like that much better......as a matter of fact I think you'll like it much better also.

Good Luck!!

Do you have a steep driveway to clear? That is when a tracked snowblower has a real advantage. If not, I wouldn't pay a premium just to have a track machine.

Your profile says you have a blower for your BX. Why would you want a walk behind as well? If it's just for places your Kub can't get into, you can get a little 2 stroker for a lot less.

I have a Honda blower with hydro. I think it turns quite easily. Just move back and forth from forward to reverse while turning and I can turn it with one arm. Throws the snow up to 50 feet. Bought mine 8 or 9 years ago when I lived in North Dakota. Used it a lot then. Moved to Iowa and don't need it too often now, but it still runs good.
