What's the best way to attach snow fence to metal posts? Last year I tried cable ties but some of them didn't last too long, I guess the rubbing in the wind. Is it best to tie around the wood lath or the horizontal wires or should I try to grab both? I placed the fencing on the upwind side of the posts which should help some but of course the wind doesn't blow the same all winter.

I think years ago I used to wrap any old galvanized fence wire around it and it stayed up. Last winter not only did some of the lath break but also some of the wires, and it was a new roll of fence. Maybe the quality just isn't what it was in the past, like everything else.

I have either used cable ties, or #12 solid copper wire twisted. I have also noticed in recent years the general purpose cable ties are not up to the job. What we need next year is to use high strength cable ties. That will fix that.
