Snow痴 coming

Weather forecast is for a major blizzard this weekend. Almost two feet of the white stuff has been ordered, .

No chance for a light shake-down test there. Nothing like diving right in. I am enjoying this thread. Thanks for showing us your work.

Full day of freezing rain, tonight the snow is coming down sideways. Will be interesting tomorrow.

Darn, I was hoping you got enough snow to give the blower a good workout.

Freezing rain SUCKS.

Well the snow fell and lots was blown away. Just enough to give the blower a little test. All went well till the pto shaft came off the tractor end. The grooves for the balls were a tad shallow so it didn稚 click solid. My fault for not paying attention. A little angle grinding and we are happy. Lady took a couple pics, I took a few from the cab. 7DA89108-8E2C-4A8F-9E6F-841062EDA19A.jpegA200FF3E-4B99-4A72-86E6-99345AEA2716.jpeg

I would say that you have created a WINNER. The very best of all worlds. It works, you are in a heated cab, you are driving forward. I'd be listening to my happy song on the radio. Congratulations ...........

Congratulations on a very successful build. Very impressive!!

I bet you like driving forwards way better than going backwards.

Have you discovered anything that you think you might change to make it better or is it doing everything you hoped for and don't see any need for changes?

Thanks, pretty satisfied with the results. Even though this blower is only 66 inches as compared the my other one at 84, it moves a lot of snow. An electric actuator on the chute will make for better directional control in the wind. The rear blade for back dragging is not near as handy as the seven ft hydraulic that I used on the front. May have to look at extending the right end and adding a control cyl. Saw an inverted on the tube that had a drop down blade for back drag close to buildings. Sittin and thinkin time.

I did have a cab tractor when I moved out here. My Case 446 from when I was in the city. Used to do a couple of blocks of city sidewalks where I lived. Lots of older people in the area, appreciated the effort. Did it with a walk behind, got old quick. EFF2C0BF-DDD9-46E5-B53E-AFBC0AE43A90.jpeg9C4FDE8D-FA1C-4028-BEE5-2383FD4B9A97.jpeg
