I think I'm going to start a stump bucket thread since that is what this turned into and I can't find any decent ones on TBN. I thought about getting a stump bucket a long time and the opinions are very polar. I think there are good reasons why the are polar and we need a thread that explains those reasons so those thinking about a stump bucket have a good source to inform their decision.

I wonder if this would work on my tractor loader ??? I have an Kubota 1153 loader on a Kubota M7040... Loader has the quick attach...

Considering that your tractor is heavier than mine it should have no problem pushing a stump bucket into the ground. I don't know anything about the curl cylinder on your loader. Given the size of the tractor I would think they are decent, but this is just a guess. Do you have specs on the loader especially curl force? Alternatively if you have curl cylinder specs (length, diameter, rod diameter) and the hydraulic relief pressure setting on you loader we'd have an idea of how strong the curl is. I'm guessing it would work fine. Just don't drive forward with the bucket tilted all the way down into the ground.
