smoke signals

my ym220d started smoking and knocking and then lost all power. my thought is to 1) put a new engine in it or 2) rebuild this one. does anyone have a resource for either a reeplacement engine or an overhaul kit for a 3T75HA engine?

Any idea what happened to it? Overheat? Lost oil pressure?

lost oil pressure. temp guage is not connected, but didnt seem too hot. its an old tractor that has been used hard by the previous 2 owners with not much maintenance. im steady fixing things on it. soon everything will be replaced and it will quit breaking down, right? ha.

I'd tear it down and see how bad it is before looking a new engine. The dealers on here have a good supply of parts for just about all of the little tractors it seems. I'd bet even if you have to have the crank turned and replace pistons, rings,liners and gaskets you'll come out a lot cheaper.

1) put a new engine in it or 2) rebuild this one.

#1 is not an option since new/rebuilt engines are not available anymore. Option 2 is a very good option & can be done fairly cheap if you do the work.
