Slackdaddy,
I am going to pick up a new tractor on Tuesday. I am considering the same method in which you picked up your tractor from Wallace. Can you describe how you secured the tractor. I am thinking you used a Rider, City truck with a 16' bed.... From reading the other posts it seems you drill 2x4 into the bed surrounding the rear wheels. You used a strap on the front. What did you secure the straps to? Also will ramps support the weight of the tractor or do you absolutely need a bank to back up onto. I was going to use a combination of using a bank with two ramps to make the descend not so steep. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Tractor, loader and mower will be around 2600 lbs.... Thanks in advance

I worked with a Ryder truck recently, it was an Isuzu 2 ton. We hauled about 5-6k lbs, it did fine. I believe, he backed up all the way to the headboard, then screwed 2x4s surrounding both front and rear wheels, and it has an E-Track system running down each side that straps can be attached to.

Also, most Ryder trucks have lift gates, so it'll stick out further when backing up to a bank.
