Does anyone have one of those new mosquito traps that I see advertised for $400 -$500? Do they make a noticeable difference? What does it take to operate?

I'm in SE Louisiana & a handful [~~9 or so] cases of West Nile Virus have turned up here, a couple within an hour of my place. When I get home in the evening & want to spend some time in the garden, it is prime skeeter time - - I'm starting to get a little concerned.

I don't have one, but I did hear on the radio that the Coleman ones have had a recall. There have been some propane leaks that have the potential for a fire.

I would be interested in how much they soak you for the consumables.

The concept seems good. Then again I suppose that many things have sounded good when proposed by the right sales pitch.

Post what information that you come up with.
