Shuttle shift Question

On the 284 4x4 Jinma, with the shuttle shift, I know you loose the creeper grearing, but how may different gears do you have?
Does it become a 6 speed or a 9 speed?

Three gear ratios X two gear ranges = six "speeds". Since the shuttle shift gives you an equal number in reverse, it becomes a 6x6 tranny. No creeper.

when my shuttle shift 284 is in low 1st it creeps. I couldn't imagine a lower gear.

While Low first seems slow at 1.73 KPH (about 1mph) creeper will provide you with a slow but steady .32 KPH (.2mph) or about 1/5 the speed. NOw that is pretty slow but go to higher gears and you can get a nice 1/2 to 3/4 mph speed. Top speed in creeper/HI is about 3MPH.
