Should I leave them Loaded?

Shane, I'm only about 20 miles from you (as the crow flies) and on very similar terrain/soil. I have a Mahindra 6500 with R-1's and all four tires loaded. Now our house in on the crest of a hill so it drains well and our lawn is "farmhouse" lawn, not putting green. BUT, I run the tractor on the lawn a lot (not mowing, but fixing fences, carting materials, etc.). In the past year plus there have only been maybe four days that I would have damaged the lawn and resorted to the Gator to avoid it. Our rocky clay soil (if it drains at all) hardens up really quickly. Since you haven't damaged anything thus far -- leave 'em loaded. Just be prepared to put off mowing for a few days if/when we ever get a lot of rain.

Personally, I dont like the loaded tires. I have a BX and when I mow I want the BX as light as possible. When I use the FEL, I put the BH on and I have no issues. In the winter with the FEL and RB on, I still never needed the extra weight or chains.

It all depends on your lawn, but overall, I would think your lawn would be happier without the loaded tires.
No filled tires on my BX 23 either.

Your profile list's a loader, bucket and pallet forks on that tractor.

DO NOT REMOVE FLUID!

You'll be taking it back to the dealer to have fluid put back in shortly after removing.

Well fellars, I guess I'll leave em loaded. Especially since it's so dry I won't be mowing :(.

If (just a wondering if) I wanted them unloaded what would be the ramifications of all that unwanted, unrequested moisture left behind in the tires? Would it possibly cause some kind of premature rusting of the rims?

If they filled the tires with liquid that will cause rust (plain water), then they'll rust regardless of whether you keep 'em filled or not. If it was something that won't cause rust, a little left inside won't cause a problem.

From the perspective of taking care of grass, if you want healthy turf you don't want to put any more weight than you have to on it. Even if you aren't digging ruts in the ground you're compacting the soil, which prevents good root growth.

On the other hand, if you're mowing with a big tractor you're putting quite a bit of weight on the grass anyway...

If your rears are filled with a CaCl solution it is pretty corrosive stuff. I would leave your tires filled. Jay

Any ruts in the lawn now? No?
Then leave them loaded.

If you don't want them loaded start a post looking for someone with a similar tractor who uses it for serious FEL work, or lives in hilly country, or uses it to pull logs etc and would like to swap their MT tires for your loaded one. He will gladdly make a deal.... :)

Wish my dealer was as good as yours!
