Have an M4700 with mechanical shuttle shift. I do really like the shuttle shift transmission's layout and convenience. I am having a little trouble however. When shifting foreward from Reverse to Low the transmission is very smooth. When shifting from Neutral to Reverse or Neutral to High it is very smooth. When shifting from Low to Nutral it sticks very badly. Engine RPM and oil temp do not seem to affect this behavior. If I pull the Shuttle Lever towards the seat (to the right) while in first and then pull back to Neutral it does seem to shift a bit easier.

Might anyone have a guess at the cause?
Thanks in advance for any responses.

After much investigation I finally figured out the culprit for the shifting problems. It was the start interlock detent switch. I put a little axle grease on it and it shifts like new.
