Shibaura SD1540B Owner

Hi all,

New member, I own a Shibaura SD1540B tractor, purchased at an auction for about $2500, runs great, I have just had to replace the steering column/box, I did a lot of digging and moving dirt with the front loader and it took a toll on the gearbox, turning and traveling with all the weight on the front end.

Can you tell me where you found the parts? I've got a Ford Tractor and am researching to see if the parts might be interchangeable. Ford is taking em to the cleaners and some parts are no longer available.

Some of the parts are interchangeable, but not any cheaper. We rebuild steering boxes & sometimes modify a part from another brand that is cheaper than the Shibaura part
