Just curious, I see HF has a sharpener machine for circular blades.

But I was wondering if anyone had attempted to sharpen theirs with the angle grinder, and what results they got.
I am looking to sharpen , as I use it strictly for demolition cutting ,(so no need to be super sharp).
Also curious as to if this sharpener at HF will dot he carbide blades .

Good Mornin Al,
For $60 bucks I dont think you could go wrong ! JMO !

Look at it this way, even if you only got two sharpenings out of each carbide blade, youve probablly paid for the unit right there ! ;)

Im certainly am no expert but I have spent over 36 years as a toolmaker, and that unit looks like it will remove a small amount from the face of each tooth, thats all you really need to get some more life out of each blade !

The worst case scenario, is that you would make a deragotory post in another Harbor Freight thread on this forum ! :)

I have the sharpener. Haven't used it yet though, setting it up is low on the list.

Not sure I'd buy it again - Forrest will sharpen professionally for $7 a blade or some such, which strikes me as quite fair.

Sharpen mine all the time with a grinder, been doing it for years, before that I'd use a hand file. Never had a problem just take a small amount at a time and they should be fine.

20/20 Do you do the carbide blades with grinder as well?
I am assuming that this HF machine has the right wheels to do casrbide blades , yet I dont see any reference to it.
