Good question. Those 3-dial combo locks are rated for at least 20k lbs, right?

All this setup just to lower the hitch height by a few inches? It's befuddling.
they did it because the chains were too long to directly hook up, didn't want to drag them

I'm not a trucker, but I believe the rachets are required to be on the passenger side of the trailer, so that any adjustments will put the driver on the passenger side away from traffic. Tightening the rachets will pull the load toward the rachet. Thus, there are times when it makes more sense to deviate from the "rules" to have a better balanced load.
The trailer I owned had the winches alternating. Other trailers I pulled as an employee had all the winches on the left, or right and alternating. But it's been 25 years since I've done any flatbed work.

I wonder if the tires on that dolly say "not for highway use". That is what my wheelbarrow tire says.

Bimbo is plastered on the wrong truck...

I'm curious how long it took those dolly wheel bearings to weld themselves solid.

You win. That is the dumbest load I've seen :D

The hauling wasn't wrong, just the load.

I was gaining on a rollback tow truck. It was carrying a very battered car with racing stripes. Couldn't identify it until I got beside it.

Prius.

Bimbo is interesting, a Mexican conglomerate that has been buying up American bakeries and the related brands.

But with 'Aztecasa' (Aztec house) on the truck with the goofy load, this photo could be either SW US, or in Mexico.

I was thinking those looked like Arizona plates in the picture, but the resolution isn't that great to tell for sure.
