He's copying log trucks. But he didn't look close enough at them. He missed the turn tables and the sliding reach. Both are kinda important.

It may work if he put them in the middle and only secured them to the trailer. Gotta give him credit for thinking out of the box even he doesn’t know how the box works.

Why did this spin out? it didn't seem to be in an active sway situation, more like no rear traction for the truck.

I'm not sure...maybe several things. Speed. Not paying attention to traffic flow...or lack there-of. I'm not sure the trailer brakes were working properly. It seems that the driver applied the brakes and the trailer pushed the truck sideways.
