People generally shouldn't get traffic tickets but this guy above deserves one for deliberately endangering the welfare of others. That tire could easily bounce off and that big box store poly string is intend for tying a flag on the back, not for load securement. Oh yeah, no flag either. I pulled up to someone today to tell them the tarp they had over their chairs on the back of the pickup was loose. He only passed us doing 70 so no worries about killing someone....

After we got off the exit and stopped I let him know the tarp was on the ground barely attached to anything.
He then stuffed it in the corner of the bed and drove off.

We stayed very far behind him. He did not have to untie anything to remove and "stow" the tarp.
Those little rings in the corners I guess are the weights ??

LOL - Makes for an electric car with 1000's of miles of "range". Just leave some slack in then charging cable from the tractor to the car to allow for turns!

Technically that should be easy job. But I can bet, Tesla will not understand, how it's possible to "drive" and to "charge" simultaneously




Not to hijack thread, but can't keep it to myself. I genuinely believe, that with raising demand, "third parties" soon will start to offer "range extenders" or "battery packs".
I don't need everyday to carry that extra weight with me for my everyday occasions. But would be great option, to rent for my vacation week an extra battery, which I could drop in trunk / frunk and connect into the car's system.

On closer look, you are right about those straps. They are strong and hold tight as long as no slack develops. Look at the pile and count the ways shifting boards could loosen the straps.
