Its quite easy to call the bank its drawn upon at the time of pick up - would only take a few minutes to validate the check is valid. Further to this do a bill of sale.

Draw up a bill of sale listing the contents, vin, hours/mileage, seller, buyer, both addresses and pertinent details - i have sold cars, and tractors in this manner and getting signed docs by both parties it is "as is where is" on the specific date and time of transfer with these details is important.

Example, you sell a older unit w/o a ROPS, the guy/gal goes rolls it over two weeks later - nuf said.

I know the problem with the r4s and snow as we do a lot of work with skid steers and they suck, My turfs were great in the snow and great on the lawn but hated the load capacity of them. I had to over inflate them and always woried I would ruin them. I also would like to spend some time collecting fire wood with this tractor and hope the r4s will be a durable tire. I am going to search for some chains for the rears before snow flies.

I am happy with my R-4's overall, and know that turfs wouldn't have worked as well for me doing most of what I have done so far. There are a lot of rocks, etc. in my woods, and the tires have been very tough. You may want to check tire/fender clearance, and have wheel spacers installed up front to give you more room for the chains. I didn't on mine since I was considering a mmm, but that wouldn't affect a RFM.

Well it seems the check worked out. I took delivery of my B3200 an 9:30 this morning. I will have to start a new thread with some pics soon.
