A guy at work just got a x720se last summer with a 47" two stage snowblower. This was a demonstration unit and he didn't get a manual with it. He had an old 420 tractor before and says this new 47 blower is not as good. For one thing the hydraulics lift up the front tires and bite the blower into his gravel driveway. I know nothing about the Select series but it seems to me that deere would have thought to put a "float" position on the hydraulics? Is there a "float" on the hydraulics ?

I thought the "float" as pretty much standard issue, He should order a manual from his dealer.

I have an X740, which I belive has the same hydraulics. There are two sets of front quick couplers (actually located just under the right side of the frame, alongside the motor oil pan). One set has "float", the other set does not. Not at all familiar with blowers, but he might have his lift connected to the wrong set of ports. To engage "float". just push the lever all the way forward into a detent position.
