I was driving through some of my open fields where the ground was quite bumpy and my seat suspension completely gave in. It seem that there are plastic threads on the seat comfort adjustment and all of the threads sheared off their shaft and now I have piece of wood under the "scissor" brackets keeping the seat at the right height. By looking at JDParts I cannot tell if I can replace just that black plastic shaft or if I have to replace it as a unit. It would be nice if the threads were metal. Anyone find any solutions to this?

Someone else posted yesterday with a similar problem. Without knowing any details, or history of use, can't suggest anything other than hit the dealer tomorrow with the problem. Sometimes wierd things are covered by warranty. Good luck.
