Seat info needed please

I bought a ym2002 a couple months ago. It doesn't have the original seat - someone put 2 steel supports on the stock mounting location and drilled custom holes in those to attach a universal seat to the tractor - HARD MOUNT. Even with turf tires and lower pressure, when I mow over the bumpy area of yard, it kills my spine. I tried a universal seat with suspension from tractor supply, but it sits way too high. So.... The stock seats - are they like a lawnmower? a pin in the front, and some sort of springs underneath in the rear? best pic I could find was from Hoye's site (http://www.hoyetractor.com/storeimages/seatontractor.jpg).

That looks like a replacement seat that Hoye sells. I have the same seat for my YM1700. Mine came with an original seat. It was an old fashion pan type seat. It was not comfortable at all and small too. I kept the rubber bumpers from the pan seat and attached them to the seat support. It helps somewhat reduce the shock. I have seen some use lawn more seat springs and even old valve springs on the seat as well.

here is a pix of what i did, also the seat was moved back 3½" to accommodate my long legs. i do not think anyone sells a bolt on kit for springy seats, so home brew design and fabrication will be up to you.
