The back of the barn is facing north and when storm hits - like yesterday and today - it leaks little bit in joints. What could I use to seal it to make it watertight? Caulking maybe? Anybody has an experience with it? I dont think normal barn paint would fix it, correct?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I am a little surprised that you are getting leaking through T-1 11 if is on the vertical joints. The T-111 I have used is tongue and grooved as well as being nailed to a framing member at the joints. If it is leaking at a horizontal joint where two sheets meet, we have always run a flashing like drip edge along the seam.

I would think that chalk would be your best bet at this point. Unfortunately chalk will not stand the test of time well if not painted.

Prokop,

Depending on what joint, end/but or side? The but uses a "Z" shaped pc of flashing. You see about 1/2". Side joints..caulk
