hi y'all..a quick question??? i have 2 remotes on the back of my 5420 that have the control levers on the right side console. lever 1 i have in float(all the way forward), full detent and lever 2 will go full forward but not into detent??? in float the hydraulics needs no engine power and yet in neutral, on lever 2, there is no engine piwer used, like its in float. should both not be in float if pushed fully forward to not use hydraulic/engine power. #2 has me a bit puzzled. in neutral it seems like its in float..thanks for the help..hope i described this well.

It's possible the SCV valves are designed for future loader use. One has float for the boom and the other has regenerative for the bucket.

I guess he has a loader joystick for his scv's? Mines like that.

thanks y'all, i have dedicated midmount for the loader and 2 optional out back, sound like lever 2 or scv 2 is in neutral when in the middle position, as for loader work??? makes sense, so is this correct??? thanks again

Yes for the loader control if you push it all the way forward and you hear a click, its in the float position, same as the levers.

Hydraulics:
Type: open center
Capacity: 10 gal [37.9 L]
11.5 gal [43.5 L] (PowrReverser)
Pressure: 2800 psi [193.1 bar]
Valves: 2 to 3
Pump flow: 15.9 gpm [60.2 lpm]
Steering flow: 6.6 gpm [25.0 lpm]
Steering press.: 1900 psi [131.0 bar]

In an open center hyd system, there is a continuous flow of fluid through all the valves in series when the levers are in neutral.
