This is my first tractor so I'm going to be asking some stupid questions so please bare with me. Can someone tell me how to check the fluid level of the transmission? This unit has a rubber plug on top beside the gear shifter. I looked down in there and see fluid on the lower portion but where should it be? And is this the correct way of checking it? I'm going to be changing it soon so how do you know when its full? Hopefully not to the top because mine is way down in the bottom. And is this also you hyro fluid? Thanks.:confused3:

There is a plug on the left side of the transmission. If you're sitting on the tractor, the plug would be about level with your left ankle, but a little to the rear of the tractor. Fill through the top plug until fluid starts to run out of the lower plug.

I've always used Traveller Universal Tractor fluid, about $30-$35 at TSC for 5 gallons
