Trying to work out some bugs on this 1960 welder. The selector knob on the right goes 0-100 , but will only weld in the80-100 range. Any ideas? Also what would it take to make this thing have 110 power for grinders and such? Thanks in advance

Your rheostat may need to be cleaned or replaced. The machine has 120-volts DC, but you have to pin the R-57 idler to high RPM to get full power. If you've done that, and no power, have you check the exciter brushes?
