Dave,
Check out the site,but mostly the tire chains.
How are they on glare ice,the type of ice when all of a sudden your going sideways, /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gifdo they have a good bite like tire chains with ice grips?

Also how are they on wet grass when mowing?

Has anyone tried the rubber "tire cahins" ? I would love to have something for added snow traction that wouldn't tear up my new pavement, but DO THESE WORK?? Any feed back is appreciated.

I know little about the rubber tire chains,but I fear w/ice and deep snow traction maybe less than steel.

I to like to here from others eho may have try the rubber tire chains.

I use these chains on both the front and rear of my John Deere 955 and am very pleased. The attached photo shows them on my asphalt driveway. They do no damage whatsoever. My neighbor was so impressed he bought a set also for his lawn and garden tractor.

I have found no problem in having enough traction. To install them I deflate the tires to about 3-4 psi. Then when in place, I overinflate the tires to about 16-20 psi to keep the chains tight.

You definitely don't want to drive at high speeds on paved surfaces with them.

I have no experiences on side slopes with them. Otherwise I am very pleased.

Thanks for the info and photo. That's enough for me to buy & try them here in PA this winter. Just wasn't sure if they would really help.
