They just opened a RK in Morganton, NC. 12% rebate on everything this week. That's going to put a dent in my wallet.

You know, David, I was just telling my Wife last weekend that I've never actually eaten the popcorn at our Rural King. No idea why, just never have. Maybe I should go in there just for the popcorn. It's bound to cost me less each trip, right? :licking:
As for the comparison with Cabela's, I don't think it's the same thing. Cabela's is a sporting goods store catering to a little different crowd. Rural King is a farm supply store, catering to people who actually use tractors. Sure, there is some crossover there, but I have yet to see a Cabela's store located in a rural community.
My neighbor and I made our first trip to a Rural King (in Morganton, NC) this morning. I don't know whether I should pat myself on the back for being a conscientious shopper or be ashamed that I am a spendthrift.
I purchased the following 18 items:
1 splitting wedge
4 pig ears
1 bag (40 lbs.) of birdseed
11 containers (2.5 gallons) of 41% glyphosate
1 container (2.5 gallons) of Crossroad (generic Crossbow)
My bill was $530.42 before tax and before the 12% rebate that is good for this week.
My neighbor, with amazing self-control, got out of the door for less than $50, all spent on .22 ammo.

I'm hoping you have a dog....
Technically, I don't own a tractor.RK has lots of clothes and housewares here. There's tools, landscaping and animal supplies as well. Our store is HUGE! It's an old Super K-Mart building. Compared to the TSC store's here, in all seriousness, I'd bet you could fit 3 TSC stores in this one Rural King.
