I frequently tow my wood trailer at night when I'm coming back from the woods. Given the small (and mudded up) tail lights on Murphy, I added an independent set of trailer lights so that the trailer would have more than an SMV triangle to warn off cars.

I got the kit on Amazon.com
Amazon.com: Hopkins 46255 Power Taillight Converter: Automotive
I like the kit because it supplies an independent power source to the trailer so that I don't risk frying Murphy's wiring harness.

I mounted the adapter behind the guard for the transmission with only the connector exposed. I drilled two holes in the guard and ran a ty-wrap through the holes and the adapter to secure it in place. I ran the wires through loom up the passenger (starboard) side of the frame to the tail light connector where I spliced them in. The battery wire went up the driver (port) side of the frame to the battery.
