RTV losing power

with a very heavy load I experience the same thing. I is best not to try to get off the line going straight up. Of course shifting is easier as well if one cuts across the pitch. I usually plan my wood runs to load as I descend. That way I can also load the bed with the logs on end which gives me a denser pack and a more stable load.

It sounds like you have run into a similar circumstance.
It may be more favorable to climb the hill by not starting right at the bottom, but now I want to pursue this from a stop right at the bottom. Most comments indicate the RTV cannot be stopped. Maybe they aren't on a very steep hill or maybe they aren't carrying a load.
I am going to re-check the air cleaner and check the spark arrestor -never thought of that one. When I go to the dealer next Wednesday, I will have a payload of 1600#, as that is the max according to the manual. I will weigh a bundle of shingles and throw on just enough to bring the load to max.

Be careful going up steep slopes with an overloaded or fully loaded RTV. I was able to lift the front tires when I was hauling a full load of fill dirt up a steep slope.

The dirt was piled higher than the side rails, which raised the center of gravity. Keep the load low and seat belt fastened.

Here's what happened at the dealer:
Dif lock hold down cable was adjusted and now works as it should. The new diesel tank was install and there is no leakage at the cap. Dealer installed a secound gasket on cap so that it doesn't have to be screwed down so many turns.
The power problem is a wait and see. They suggested I change to an after market air cleaner (K&N) for added air. I've also removed the spark arrestor for the winter.
The RTV will still not turn a wheel when fully loaded, with dif-lock and 4 wheel drive engaged, IF I try to start on a steep hill. Normally, I think it will be OK.
I still like the RTV. It has many advantages over the competetion for my use, a worker.
