Rounded off drain plug

So, are you going to give up on the drain plug on the 960 and as far as the oil goes, just suck it up? If you use good filters there should be no problem.

Please do not tell us if you ever get the drain plug out. I think this could reach 1000 posts if you work it right. And with winter coming and most of us getting cabin fever, it will not take long.

Yup, it's going to 1000 posts and this could wind up being the feeder thread for all stuck pan plugs. Guys in the oil change places will yell "Hey Boss, I got me a Kando here" when the pan plug won't come out. The guy that tightens oil filters at the Kubota factory would be called over to give the filters an extra "Kando" for good luck. There's even talk of naming the new building on the TBN campus "The Kando Wing".

I would not screw with it...pun intended.

I never drained the oil on my 1999 Mercedes. Used a vacuum pump and sucked it out of the dip stick tube.

Kando meant no harm. He had an honest question and figured out there was an easier method. Plus this way he did not have to climb under his tractor. Smart man.

No one asked you to read it, I'm hardly looking for a magic solution, and we're all laughing with each other.

I don't see me needing to work anything to bring this to 1000 posts, it's gone fairly far with minimal input of my own.
