ROPS and Lights

I ordered my ROPS for the 2020D. Of course I was thinking of installing lights...but I believe I remember hearing that the alternator can only support 15 amps. If I install three 55 watt lights - 2 facing front and one rear thats 15 amps right there. Has anyone used a LED spot light so as to not replace/upgrade the stock aleternator? Any other light solutions that work but do not drain the battery too?

LED's would be the way I would go.. 2 will do the work of three regulars with half the drain and 2x the life.

Use 2 lights on 360 degree swivels.
This gives you 2 sources of light that covers all the way around the tractor and reduces the amps needed to power them .

I read a post and it probably is just cheaper to replace out the alternator to a 35 or 50 amp especially if its just plug and play????

I like the idea of the 360 swivel - but I am thinking these lights will be for snow plowing and using a back blade to snowplow - need a rear light to see what I am plowing and then using the bucket to move the larger piles of snow. Would be a pain to keep having to swivel the lights.

Anyone know if there is a way to check the amperage on a alternator without removing it and brining it somewhere? I am wondering if I truly have the 15 amp installed or maybe it was replaced at some point?
