We till up probably 20 acres total. This is an ex-pasture, and the farmer disked it all after we bought it, so it was plenty bumpy at first. We've only had the place for 2 years, and it's smoothing out okay now.
The spike harrow I have, was assembled out of three (real old) horse drawn sections abandoned here. I've got a bunch of old iron/implements here, that survived the WWII scrap drives. They were left here and a 20" maple tree grew up through one section. I had to cut it apart with a cutoff tool, and left quite a bit of it in the tree... I'm pretty proud of the job i did to cut the savable parts and make two of them usable. It actually gets towed behind my Polaris Ranger. Yes, the drier (and the faster we go) the better.
I also have a 3 pt tiller. I was just exploring other options.
