My brother made this last week and we tried it out today to see what kind of bugs need to be worked out. It ended up working real good and the only bugs were, needs sides on each side on top and bottom grades, and a guard over the motor. The bottom half well be closed in on 3 sides and it well have shouts off of the top and middle grades. That way if we want we can load right into my dump trailer.

I like the dual screen idea, I built a single screen one a year ago, but having two screens would be nice. What are you using for a viberator?

Sure like your shacker. The bottom part well be like you have. With the 2 screens that gives us 3 sizes. top as you know is the big junk, out of the 2nd we are getting septic size, and what is left is the sand & pea gravel size.
The shacker is a flywheel with weight removed on one side and added on the other. Sure shacks it. The fly wheel I made years ago and was used on a weed eat. At the time I couldn't find anything that would hold up for the blades. After the big string came out it worked good, just to heavy.

Nice job!

I have an E Z Screen 1000, but I am slowly making upgrades so as to be able to do multiple materials at once.

Keep us updated as you improve it.

I watched youtube of the shacker and it looked like it work real good. Do you use yours much? It looked like his might shack more, I wonder if it might be to much. After he gets the sides on, we well give it a good workout and see if holds together.

Nice Shacker!

I also like the dual screens. Let us know how it works and maybe what ratio of finished material you get from one screen to the other?

I was going to build a coarser screen on top of my fine screen, as well.

thanks for the pics. :)

I just have to ask, is shacker a real word, or is it shaker.

Very interesting build. The dual screen is a plus if you have need of segregated materials. I will be interested in seeing the after results. Post some more pics closer up so that we can see the construction a bit.

JJ. You are right. "Shaker" is the object and "shake" is the action. Using that analogy then "Shacker" would be somebody or thing that "shacks." But "shack" already is an object, as a "dilapidated small house." Oh the English language is so confusing!!

Here are the pic. of the motor. By the way on the spelling I must of been having a flash back to the good old days of shacking up. I never could and can't spell that good and way to old to care. I feel you just don't have to read it.

Thanks for the pics. I see now how it works very nice set up. I start to built one a few years ago. I was not sure how to do a shaker motor. So I just used gravity stiff the gravel out. I had it in a 45 deg. angle. It work ok but I still had to bump the screen a little to get the rocks to roll off. I was planing to have a pulley to run a wheel that the center shaft was off center. The wheel would bump a plate on the screen which would shake the screen.
I would like to know if you have trouble with the belt coming off.

That is a LOT off balance!! What RPM are you turning it and what did you use for bearings? I understand that they need to be good quality and preferably rollers to stand the vibration pounding. It is interesting and I look forward to pic of it working.
