Robalo boats (older models)

Any of you guys have any experience with these boats?

I have been looking at a 1970 center console. I have read there has been some problems with the foam that is in the boat cavity, getting saturated. Any thoughts or experience would be great.

You might try Iboats.net/or com. They have huge forum, with a large part of it devoted to older boats. There are large sections just for restoration and the people are great in identifying obscure parts/motors etc.

Btw, one of the most common things over on the forum is newbe's buying a water logged boat (not know it), taking it out and then wondering why it will not get up on plane. I would highly recommend a marine surveyor or at least a mechanic and at the very least some one who has been around boating for ever and knows the problem area's, give the boat a good once over and hopefully a water trial.
