Not sure if this is the right forum for this post, but a friend sent me this site (Marshall Tractor & Equipment Co. – | Tractors | Excavators | Skid Steers) in Goddard, KS, and after looking into it I'm thinking it's too good to be true. The prices are on the low side, but the red flags for me are that despite being in business for 26 years as claimed, there is no Google Business Profile, no BBB.org listing, no reviews other than those shown on the website, and no other hits in Google searches. A Google Maps search on the address takes me to a field in the middle of nowhere with a single building in it, with satellite and street view pictures dated from 2014. In the 2014 photos there is no evidence of a business there which should have been there since 1999.

If anyone has any experience with this dealer, please advise otherwise. Just thought I'd post this as a cautionary warning.

Good call. That is hilariously fake. This listing has mantouhire.com.au stickers on it and those are eucalyptus trees in the background.

Definitely scam pricing. Kudos on all the avenues of investigation!
Apparently scammers use the same web site design, as they all look very similar.

Scam. Read the "How To Buy" page. You pay 100% up front, money is held in trust, they send you the equipment, you have 14 days to inspect the equipment and either accept it or return it at their expense. Then a full refund in 24 hours. Not the way I would buy a piece of equipment.

These scam sites have been going on for so many years. Back in 2010 i wanted a new gooseneck horse trailer. Nearly all the ads were fake. Everyone wanted money held in trust.

It got to be i always told them i want to come see the unit. They would know what part of the country i was in by phone number, and they were always located on other side of the country. After awhile i would tell them ill be in their neck of the woods next week for business, can i drop by. Never heard back from any of them.

And all the units were priced like 1/4 of their value.

All the tractor ones were like $5,600.

And when i sold my 1996 JD870 while running photos and ad on local paper, i saw my pictures show up on craigslist. Some faker was trying to sell my tractor…or at least a photo of my tractor

Its a scam per KS Secretary of the State web site OR a zombie web site that someone is keeping alive or paid period hasn't run out.

From Marshall web site ( indicates located in Goddard, KS.

From KS Secretary of State site - Business Dissolved. Doesn't indicate if State "adminstratively" dissolved it due to failure to annually file or business owner dissolved it.
