You can't buy the same tractor from TYM at the same price as RK.
But you should buy what "you" want with your money.
We on this forum are, for the most part, a group of RK owners sharing our experiences.
Enjoy your TYM and that forum, fried1765.

"You can't buy the same tractor from TYM at the same price as RK"

Are you SURE about that?

"Enjoy your TYM and that forum"

Your erroneous assumption: I do not own a TYM tractor.
Check my profile. Ownership verification is simple.

Maybe off Topic. Whatever happened to Saturn? Were they simply bought, and crushed out of existence? Did they have financial troubles? For they too were a breath of fresh air in the marketplace with good ideas and technology.
Same thing that happened to Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Hummer and all the "other" brands that all the mfg'ers just stopped making!

Please explain how I'm doing the tractor buyin public a huge service by buying an RK tractor? Thanks.

Sure, the more folks that buy these RK Tractors with exceptional pricing, the better chance RK has of staying afloat.

Just like any other business.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, I am certain about the pricing, at least in my case.

Based on your statement: Full disclosure: I am considering an HST TYM 554 with TX55 loader, and BY85 backhoe, I assumed you had opted for the TYM over the RK.

No need for you to condescend concerning ownership verification.

"Enjoy your TYM"..... is a sarcastic comment, based on a totally erroneous assumption!

It is our sincere hope that our competitors and all of the people that really don't have an interest in our tractors but just want to tell us and everyone else that we will fail continue to do so. Meanwhile, the thousands of people that bought our high-spec tractors for thousands less than our competitors are getting a lot out of their purchase. Used the savings for something else and glad they were able to. We expect negative comments from people associated with our competitors, comes with the territory. But for people that have no interest in our tractors continually post negative comments on this, the RK Tractors forum, is really hard to understand. Its as though there is some sort of satisfaction gained in doing so. You know who you are, no need to call out anyone. As everyone's mothers told them, if you don't have something polite to say, click your way to another forum.

This forum is going to be different. We will become a community together, people that own RK Tractors and want to tap into other people's or our knowledge base, or people that are considering buying one and what to hear from others that have already done so. We at RK Tractors are going to answer questions and contribute. We are the brand and the dealer all in one, uniquely positioned to be a voice for the brand and our RK Tractors locations.

There's a risk when buying any brand. What if your local dealer goes out of business or is bought out by another brand dealer? RK is doing a many things right compared to the others listed above. They are selling a lot of tractors, drawing more people to their stores which increases overall sales. I don't see that business model ending anytime soon.

Maybe RK will be third time lucky. They've sold, and stopped selling, tractors twice before.

My Kioti with options was less than the RK37. And I got it from a 'real' dealer, not a big box store - and yes, RK is a big box store. Ever gone to home depot or lowes and needed help with a tractor / mower issue, like parts and such? Might as well hit up the local gradeschool. My experience with RK has been similar as with any big box store.

Buy a JD that doesn't shift gears (by design) and your not in a much better position.

In the beginning they were a fresh idea. Then over time they became like any other GM division. When GM went bankrupt/gov't bail out part of the deal was closing several brands.

GM was the biggest corp, biggest employer at one time. No longer.
Kodak had the best year ever 8 years before they closed.
Nokia dominated the cell phone market till some upstart came out with a phone, having never made a phone before and now they dominate (apple, iphone)

Airborne Express, DHL (us delivery), PanAm, Braniff, Eastern Airlines, Sears, Montgomery Ward...conrail and before it PRR and NYC...polaroid..

IBM still makes computers, invented the PC..no longer sells PCs or printers for them. Yet it's still a huge market.

There are no guarantees - with RK, TYM or even deere or kubota.
Maybe off Topic. Whatever happened to Saturn? Were they simply bought, and crushed out of existence? Did they have financial troubles? For they too were a breath of fresh air in the marketplace with good ideas and technology.

Sounds to good to be true - more features for a lower price - and you have to buy and resell the item...and Rk has 'failed' at selling tractors twice in the past. Are we skeptics? Yep, many of us are. Get burned a few times and you become one.

I suppose it would be good for you to succeed - but that might mean fewer sales for our 'favorite' brands which make hurt their future, our availability for parts and service. But who can say, right?

Also consider that Rk has no 'history' (ala deere) - you're the newbie, to get respect you'll have to prove yourselves. Prove you're in it for 'us' the fans, the customers, not the bankers and bean counters.

I'm surprised the loyalty/fandom for brands that have long been out of business or absorbed by other companies. But if you're buying a hart-parr or white you know what you're getting - a hard to support dinosaur. Nobody is being fooled in any way.

Not to say Rk is, but as stated, it will take a while to prove yourselves. I bought a kioti and folks question is - and they've been selling in the US for over a quarter century. RK is what, a year now?

And I'm not knocking the tractors, their quality. the claim they are the lowest priced..yes, I know that not to be true.
Great service and support? I don't see it IN the stores, have not seen it from your competitors - but perhaps that's not a fair comparison. Time will tell. I shop at your store often (1-2 times a month) and rarely see the same employees for more than a couple of months. When I ask about something I don't get a confident answer. When I order from your website "in store" it's not there and you won't or can't order it - yet you list it for sale.

I see low price as your MAIN selling point - not service, not quality. Price. And with low price i've found lesser quality and lesser service. In your store as well as others. Sign of the times I suppose.

I wish you success - as well as TSC, menards, home depot, lowes, etc. I like having options. And with what i'm finding for service..I need options.
