I'm the new owner of a RK 24 tractor that I purchased from the Sweetwater, TN store and am needing some suggestions on tying down the tractor during transport. We'll be transporting this tractor weekly from our primary residence, where we will be garaging the tractor, and some vacant land we recently purchased. Are there specific tie down points on the tractor or a suggested tie down method? I looked through the forum and manual and can't find anything specifically addressing tie downs and transport. I know I want to stay clear of utilizing the loader or 3-point hitch for tie downs and am assuming I just need to tie down to the tractor frame. Right now I'm looking at using the base frame of the grill guard and around the frame at the base of the ROPS.

The rear drawbar is a convenient location (put a clevis ring on it) and usually you can hook something to/around the front of the frame.

This was when I brought mine home from the store. It had the backhoe on it at the time, so I attached the chains and binders to the backhoe frame, as I wasn't able to get to the tractor frame in the rear. In the front I attached to the brackets that the grill guard bolts to. These brackets are bolted fast to the tractor frame and are heavy duty. There may be better points to attach to, but this was the only time I've hauled it so far, so I'll have to experiment. I also welded additional stake pockets to the trailer frame to give me more options on attachment points. I'm using 5/16 Grade 70 chains and binders. One on each corner. You also need to secure the FEL with a strap if you have one.

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like I'll be tying down to the base of the grill guard frame that is bolted to the tractor's main frame at the front and getting a clevis to attach to the draw bar at the rear. This should give me a solid tie down without potentially damaging anything on the tractor.
