retrofit ROPS

Has anyone retrofit roll over bar and seat belt? Or know of where to buy?

Your Kubota dealer can get it for you. Also, here is a web site of other manufacturers you can check on.

Edit: Oops. Just read in your other post that you have a grey market Kubota. Don't know if they use the same ROPS or not. Check with Kubota or the sources above.

Well, the L245 isn't a "grey" Kubota in the US, but I don't know about Canada. Kubota sells the ROPS for the L245 for $148, and you should be able to get it through your local dealer, or maybe one in the US. Here's the Kubota web page that describes the program, with links to the certificate you'll need.

I ordered one for my L345 and installed it myself. Search the Kubota forums for lots of previous posts on the subject.

There is somebody right now on Ebay with a few Kubota ROPS for sale. Auction description says he has about 30 different ROPS - might be worth looking into.

Carol had posted in another thread that she "thinks" her imported gray Kubota is the equivalent of the L245, not that it is the L245. First thing I would do is to verify which model it's closest to, and go from there. Kubota dealers will not support gray markets. John

I figure this thread is worth bumping. Now that I have a bit of seat time and have made random harmless mistakes I can appreciate how easy it would be to topple my tractor with a poor decision or mechanical failure. I checked it out and the Retrofit ROPS program is still active. Prices here.http://www.kubota.com/f/safety/rops.pdf Tax, shipping and handling, installation not included.
