The great migration has started!! Actually, we've hauled a few things over during the past week. Tomorrow, the hired movers show up, to take the bulk of our house stuff and we'll start staying there fulltime. We're not bringing too much furniture with us. Just the master bedroom, our living room (which will ultimately end up in the game room), a refrigerator for the shop, stand up freezer and one of our girls' bedrooms. The interior decorator will help us find a new living and dining set.
I bought a new front load washer/dryer, because we've never been impressed with the ones we currently have and they're going on 15 years. Plus, I switched the dryer to gas. The new place has the option for propane or electric and I've always liked gas dryers better. Over the years, we've actually been using our second set, top loaders, in our in-law apartment, because they've worked so much better. This time, I'm betting my money on Electrolux for the new washer/dryer. They seemed to have good reviews.
I need to figure out the best way to get my implements, engine driven welder and some heavy work benches moved. I can load them on my trailer with my pallet forks, but then I need a tractor at the other end too, to unload them. I guess I'll have to employ some help from a neighbor with a competent tractor, or find a buddy with a trailer too.
Fortunately, the properties are only 50 minutes apart.
