This is the master bath with a better picture of Bambi overlooking the heated whirlpool bath. You can see we mounted a small TV above the door - so we can enjoy FOX News even in the tub!

Oh yes ... and more.

The door is not what I ordered - solid steel - but it would still take quite an effort to break through. So, backed up by assorted firearms, the room is also suitable against home invasion.

Thank you.

I dig up a few more. They're scattered in multiple directories on the computer and several cell phones - lol.

Two of these are in the garage. One showing the floor texture I just put down and one showing the dog wash. The other is of our upstairs office. The window that is cut off in the photo is a cross. We put a light in the ceiling just above the cross, so we could light it at night. The only ones who could possibly see it would be in planes headed in/out of our local airstrip :)

Thanks much.

We went with earth tones to fit into the rustic mood of the house. The kitchen bar and fireplace are faced with the same Hackett stone as the outside, with sandalus granite on the counter tops and hearth. The sandalus has a petrified wood look.

All cabinets, doors and trim is oak. Much of our furniture is oak. The 18' vaulted ceiling, which may be partially visible in that earlier Christmas photo, runs 76' in length - encompassing both front/rear outdoor porches and the living area - is also solid oak.

Most of the fixtures are champagne bronze.

Let's just say ... we went a little crazy - LOL.

I just got caught back up with this. Wow o wow!

I can see so many small details you folks added.

That safe room is awesome. Is it possibly fire proof for a period of time?

Love the poochy tub. And the pinball machine.

I would guess the room is fireproof - period. However - I wouldn't want to personally test it with the lack of oxygen! LOL

You are sooooo right on the details. We spent 1000s of hours chasing the right light fixtures, researching windows, looking at granite in 3 states, changing the floorplan as we went along, getting trusses to support 30' wide vaults on the porches without a center column, custom entry doors, tile murals, designing a wall of appliance garages for the kitchen with their own power, and more I can't even remember.

My biggest fail was overlooking power outlets and data connections under the roof eaves for cameras. I haven't given up on this but it will be a giant pain in the rear now - due to no easy way to cable across the living area vault.

Forgot to address the pinball machine in my last post :)

The machine is a vintage Twilight Zone. They can be pricey but ours was given to us. We did send it out to be refurbished and except for a little wear on the cabinet - it plays like new.
