Mahindra Max 22
Hello, I am a retired guy who has worked as a truck driver hauling steel in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and beyond for 13 years. I worked at Eveleth Mines for 9 years, operating mine trucks for 7. When I got laid off in '85 I (with wife and friends) built my own house in Oak Grove, MN. I worked for Qwest Communications as a Central Office Tech for 9 years too. For 21 years I owned, maintained, and operated a '57 Case 310 crawler loader. I sold that and bought a Mahindra Max22 loader with a backhoe in 2015. I have to chainsaw down a lot of pines that die on my property, and usually dig out the stumps. Back in '74-'76 I went to Staples Votech for Heavy Equipment Operation and Maintenance.

Nice to have you here with us RM. My spouse is a slavic gal from the range. Her dad retired from LTV.

Howdy. My wife's folks were from Hibbing, but had moved down to Spring Lake Park, MN after WW2. It was hard to find heavy equipment work in the twin cities in 1976, so my wife and I and another guy I knew from heavy equipment school moved up to Eveleth and Zim to look for work there. We all got jobs in a month.

Thanks! I'm sure this site will be helpful for equipment problems, or at least amusing for kindred spirits.

My in-laws are both from Hibbing but moved to Ely in the 60's to work in Reserve. You know how that went.......
