Replacement Tractor steps

A bit of a start ,spotted together .Couple inches lower than I aimed for but better for kids and old people .

I have had ALL of my tractors stuck deeper than that step would allow.
It may be best to bolt those steps on with 1/4" Grade 2 bolts,,, so it can break-away,,,
rather than destroying the step.

It looks like those steps could become real slippery with some snow or ice buildup. You might want to add something with a bit more traction on top of those steps and maybe a bigger handrail.

I had decided against powder coating due to extreme slippery finish ,if I find the spray bomb paint is slippery I will get some traction tape from work it is about 2" wide . There is one more handle up higher on the cab corner ,I'm actually looking forward to having a platform there to stand on for fueling up .

Traction tape might work. I was thinking something more agressive like pieces of expanded metal tacked around the edges.

Got it finished ,spent best part of a year contemplating and once I started it probably was only 1/2 day of actual work .If it needs shortening that will be an easy fix ,it is about 12 inches off the ground now.

Looks good, like others have said be careful of how slippery ice and snow is, you could take some strips of expanded metal and bolt them to the steps with big fender washers, I think we have all learned the hard way with snow and ice, breaking our ars. It's funny how long we keep putting off a project but when completed we ask ourself why dident I do that a long time ago. Enjoy your new steps
