Repairing Drilled Engine Block

/ Repairing Drilled Engine Block #81
I had the dealer install a new engine in my Kubota L4740 when it spun a bearing

In order to get the new engine from Kubota, they required the dealer to drill the block

Now I would like to rebuild this engine and am wondering what it would take to repair the drill hole

I’m pretty late to the party,

But if you’ve got a block with a hole and a spun bearing, I can’t help but think it’d be more economical and straightforward to just find a used core and rebuild that. I’d imagine there’s engines out there in much better shape for not much money that need a general overhaul.

Id call some salvage yards, maybe see if somebody at KTAC can point you in the direction of a write-off tractor. Wengers in Myerstown PA has a nice variety, along with MacFaddens.
