Remove My Hazard Lights?????

In a never ending search for just the right way for me to add rear lights to my B7500 I thought of this today.

I have owned this tractor for about a year and I have never used my flashers. Nor do I think I ever will. I was thinking of removing them and installing the round tractor lights they sell at TSC.

I could hopefully use the same switch on the dash. I'd obviously have to figure a way to change it from flasher to on/off.

Any thoughts?

if you can follow the wires from the switch you should find a silver canister the flashing relay. just remove the wires from the relay and splits them together. there should only be two wires on it. hope this helps. good luck

Two things to think about:

one is that you may void the warranty by doing that now

The other thing if you do it make sure that the wires and the switch are the corrct size for the load of the lights

Sounds like bypassing the relay would solve that problem.

I had not thought about the warranty. Doing something that may void the warranty is not an option.

I did think about amperage draw with 55 watt lights, but I have yet to determine if the wiring can handle it.

Did you know that there is a prewired 15 amp circuit for work lights already installed on the B7500. I was getting real creative trying to figure out how to wire mine when I stumbled across that circuit. It made for a very simple installation.

I assume that the pre-wire works off the front headlights switch...True?

One just never knows what he MIGHT need in the future...

I don't expect to need my flashers either...but would not remove them...just in case...

If your luck is like mine, the day after they came off I would find the need to use them. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

No. It is an independent circuit. I wired an inline switch on mine. The stub out is located behind the drivers seat on the right hand side and has a female quick disconnect ready to go. It is color coded red with a blue stripe. There is a black ground wire available as well. I am running 2- 55 watt driving lights and one tractor light (35 watt?) on this circuit. This makes for a very easy install.

i use my flashers all the time, when i am on the road removing snow, from my drive and at the corner where my mail box is located, course don't beleive that would be a condition u would be under /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif just make sure that the flasher circuit can be used for lights, not too much draw.
