Works great to release connected pressure bound QA's. It also helps separate or connect "sticky" QA's, even if they aren't pressure bound, by holding open the female QA while the male is inserted. Particularly useful in cold weather or with slippery connectors in hard to reach places.
For implements with two male QA's, I connect them together using a female to female adapter tee with a relief valve as mentioned above.
