Glenn,

You're killing us here. We NEED your genetically compelled, thousand word accounting of the sinking of the HMS glenmac. This is worse than waiting to see which way Florida will go in the election.

I'm going through withdrawal and will have to seek professional councilling if I can't read your story soon.

Help save me.

Glenn....I have to concur with Hayden. I've had at least a couple of sleepless nights wondering how the adventure concludes. Did the submarine ever surface? Did the crew survive attempts to rescue the vessel?

Well...

When the hose won't reach your plants, and you don't relish the thought of a half-dozen trips carrying a pail of water, and you certainly don't want to be outdone by your 3-year old son (see my last Under The Tree post), you simply fire up your $15,000 do-it-all and get the job done. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Interesting Idea of tractor uses, When you get to Brasson Mo.and get on the Paddle Wheel boat look over the rear at the drive system It is a Oliver Tractor driving the paddle wheels.
Also 50+ years age when the roads were bad in the winter time Icy and muddy and living off into the deep woods a neighbor would put a platform on the rear of his Farmall C then the wife would ride a kitchen chair to there church at the time considered it to be normal, today cannot get the wife into a vehicle with out air conditioner, speed control,a smooth ride on black topped highways.
Times have changed. Good Subjects

The great thing about owning a tractor is that it simply expands one's capabilities. It's all about doing things more efficiently, *at least that's what I ALWAYS tell my wife.

I cut up my firewood for the cheminia and throw it into the bucket. Then drive around to the front porch where I can bring the bucket right to the edge to unload it. Makes for only one trip.;)

A few years back, I heard of a guy who likes shootin' little boulders with his homemade Roman catapult. Suposedly he winches the rope up with some contraption he improvised to fit on his rear PTO.

Don't know if that one was true or not, but click below for actual evidence of the "big one that didn't get away". Talk about monster fishin', and who ever heard 'a usin' the tractor in place 'a the fishin' pole!!??

As a youngster I always put off breaking my FFA show calves to the halter until just before the show, by which time they weighed 1,000# or so. So I would tie the halter to the drawbar of a Farmall H, put it into first gear at idle, and then walk along behind it with my hand on the rope to make the calf think I was the one in charge. Worked pretty good. But come to think of it, I never even placed in "Showmanship", so maybe it didn't work so well after all.

Since people are still looking at this thread, and the question was asked years ago, here's the little tractor icon, just copied and pasted here. Is that stealing?

It's my opinion old thread haters fail to recognize the enrichment such threads can bring to the table.

About three times this year back when my wife was planting the garden and it was getting dark. I would grab two beers get my b3030 cab tractor drive over to the garden and put on the flood lights so she could see. I would sit there with the A/C on and listening to the radio drinking my two beers watching my wife bend down.
My wife really appreciated the light and never really caught on that I was doing it for me as much as i was doing it for her. Now if I could only get her to weed the garden ,I would be all set.
