kubota 4760
hey everybody, I have a Kubota 4760, and need to do some basic field maintenance: mowing and seeding
As far as implements go, does anyone have a recommendation for a make/model of flail mower?
As well as a make/model of seed drill, vs a broadcaster?
Its a 50 HP utility tractor with 60" spacing.
I also wonder if anyone has an opinion on conservation tillage discs, like a sunflower disc - if that is even possible at 50 HP.
Thanks very much

Look for a used one from the state or someone that had a apple orchard. Used I bought a Mott for 350.00 dollars and got a box of new blades thrown in. I have a 7 foot, and a 5 ft. that came from farm auctions for under 500.00. They are great for mulching up oak leaves this time of year here in Ohio. Mowing they will cut 6ft. bull thistles and give you a 3 inch finish, if that is what you want. Buy used and you will save at least a thousand. GovDeals.com is a good place to look.

I want to see a picture of you on your tractor tilling away while smoking your blue e-cig. Hahaha.

I wish I could help here, but I have a brush hog and am not familiar with flail mowers other than what I've read about them and they are appealing to me also. I can speak for the rotary type and once you've done decent work reclaiming land, you may or may not really need a brush hog, but maybe a rear finish mower instead depending on how big of stuff you're mowing.
