Rear pto does not engage.

Was using the rotary cutter the other day and the rear pto did not engage. I finally put it in rear and mid together and it worked. I'm sure this is not advised but I only have so much time to get the job done. is there some adujstment anyone is aware of.

You might want to include what model tractor you have. Also cab or not, on some models it makes a difference.

I have a 2520. No cab. It feels like it is engaged but it just does not turn when it hit the pto.

don't know much about it but i had the same problem with my 5105 and it turned out the mechanic who serviced it before i took delivery left the linkage loose, after hooking it back up it still didnt have enough power to run the hog through thick bahia, a couple of turns on the adjustment rod cured that as well. good luck.
