I have never seen one like this before, I bet it makes trimming a lot easier.

There are a few threads here about that Chinese cutter.

Do you know what make / model that unit is?
Betstco offers some with 4-6' cutting heads. I always thought that they would be great for a compact tractor as it has a long reach from center line and a 18' vertical reach for trimming. It would not work on big branches but for a yearly trimming it would be great.

Wow! I didnt know it was chinese made... I try hard to avoid items made in China, unless there's no choice.

Its still interesting.

I have the Betstco one.
"Easy to mount" is not true. Mounting that control panel (very heavy and stiff hoses) is a stone cold b****.
Mounting on the fender is a no-go on my Kioti CK27. I had to fabricate a removable mount.
That long side reach makes the tractor lots more tippy. They do tell you to load your tires.
The brush I need to control is very springy. The sickle mower never gets it in a single pass.
The cut brush plops down on the bar and blocks further cutting. Sometimes raising the bar vertical clears it, sometimes need to get off tractor and remove blockage.
Despite those cons. I love it. Saves tons of back breaking manual labor.

The Betstco looks like a nice unit.

I have heard they like to tip and some folks have extended the legs under them.

This is a common problem with sickle mowers. Moving at speed helps on regular mowers, however its not practical with a boom. This is why sickle mower conditioners have reels to move the grass into the conditioner and they still will plug. I have had good luck with backing up to clear plugs on regular sickle mowers. Another option is to see about switching to stub guards. If you post what the part numbers are stamped on the guards I can see if stub guards are available. Stub guards are much less prone to plugging.

Hope you don't mind a few questions.
Are you able to reach straight out with it? How far will it reach?

Does it have a breakaway for protection should you hit something immovable?

Do the sickles slow down with adjusting the boom?
Thanks!
